Biography
Swiss-born Tabea Anderfuhren has been captivating audiences with her unique stage presence and her intimate blend of bluegrass, country, folk, swing and Irish music. Her clear and natural voice is a rare instrument, the perfect vehicle for her original melodies.
Tabea, who also moonlights as a building site painter, plays guitar and mountain dulcimer.She's equally comfortable performing solo or with other musicians in various combinations.
Tabea's deep passion for music extends back to childhood. She formed her first band "Mace" at age 13.
Folk music was her first love. Inspiration from artists such as Joan Baez helped her to discover and develop her own ability to describe her feelings and experiences through her songs.
Her musical spectrum soon widened to include country, swing and Irish music...Along the way Tabea met several American, English and Irish songwriters and drew great inspiration from their music.
Tabea has performed live as well as on radio and television across Europe, in the USA and Australia.
Her first album "Who can ever tell", recorded in Nashville TN in 2008, has received airplay across Australia and Europe, including Swiss National Radio DRS . It was produced by herself along with multi-insrumentalist and singer-songwriter Aaron Till.The song "Roll muddy river"†of her album is on HILLCREST CD No 49 (www.hillcrestcd.com) which gets worldwide airplay.
