A new sound was born in 2001, with strong trance and hardcore influences, it has evolved much and it has gotten harder. Today it is closer to hard house than trance. 95%+ comes from italy and Holland, the Holland style is harder, the main Dutch artists are Zany, Showtek, Prophet, and Deepack.
