I have blue in my hair. I have been in love with David Bowie since I was four, and Wolverine since I was 14. My favorite wine, perfume, and color of lip-liner all share the same name: Obsession... which is terribly appropriate for me. I like neck ties. I bite my nails. My Zoo Membership is one of the most used cards in my wallet. I have held whole conversations with my friends consisting entirely of movie quotes. I might be addicted to Mountain Dew Voltage, and buying t-shirts, and sushi. I have a pretty severe crush on both Alton Brown from the Food Network, and Samantha Brown from the Travel Channel. I am perfectly happy to drive hours away just to meet up with a friend. I love to dance, even if I don't know the steps. I sometimes wear paisley, and I do it WELL. I frequently crave cupcakes. I write notes on my hands and my bathroom mirror. I love movies of all sorts. I love music of all sorts. I "rock out" whenever possible, either in the shower, or at karaoke, and especially in the car with the windows open. I badly want to go partying with Elijah Wood, he seems like a cool cat. I am loyal to a fault. I don't like secrets, even though I am forced to keep them. And I love my friends and family more than anything else in the world.
Also, I briefly played Roller Derby. RESPECT.
Anything else you want to know about me, simply ask ;)
Invictus
by William Ernest Henley
OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

I feel the need to explain a couple things in regards to my blog and my friending policies...
Blog Notes: A few entries are unlocked, but don't be offended if you can't view the others. I post them under a "Friends Only" filter at first, and then make them "Private" at my discretion. It's nothing personal, just a preference I have ;)
Friending Policy:
I have recently been bombarded with requests, so let me clarify...
With a few exceptions, I do not add people to my "friends page" whom I have not met in real life or spoken with repeatedly in cyberspace. If you send me a "friend" request but your profile is set to "private", I can't possibly know who you are and I WILL NOT ADD YOU unless you send me a message letting me know how we know each other. If we have never met, then I am sorry, but you will most likely not be added to my "friends" list.
As far as "Top Friends" goes...
I REFUSE TO RANK MY FRIENDS.
"Top Friends" is the worst idea ever. It does nothing but create angst. Nobody should have to worry about being dropped off someones "top friends" list. So, I'll just save everyone the anxiety. I am following the example of a few of my friends and RANDOMIZING the page. Because if you're in my friends page at all, you are important to me.
So, my friends... WELCOME TO MY CORNER OF THE ASYLUM. MUAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

In no particular order: Like-minded (or at least OPEN-minded) people. Artists. Musicians. Actors. Friends. Alex Cox, Christopher Eccleston, Russel T. Davies, Samantha Brown, Ewan McGregor, Edward Norton, Dominic Monaghan, Simon Pegg, Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Burton, The prop masters on the "Trouble With Tribbles" episode of Star Trek, Mark Wahlberg, Joss Whedon, Jackie Chan, Tom Baker, Alan Rickman, Ron Perlman, Eddie Izzard, Stan Lee, Kathy Griffin, Alton Brown, The guy responsible for checkered Vans, The inventor of toe-socks, Theatre or Movie or TV producers that will pay me to act (that's gauche, I know. But subtlety is getting me NOWHERE), and the entire cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000...

...etc.
