Cloud vs. Machine is an open project.
It started in late 2007 when Alfonso Zarrella and Michel Iotti decided to finish, arrange and record the concept album they started when they were much younger. Tapes from the end of the old Millennium where brought forth, deciphered, improved, sometimes rewritten.
After some time, the album, called Behind the door, is ready.
We asked our friends to help us, and they did: many instruments, some arrangements and vocal parts are done by other people. We plan to do the same with any further step.
First: we'd like to write the story for a musical. Then, an Italian translation/adaptation is planned. Both need help to be born, and we hope to bring them along in theatres with proper actors and so on.
Meanwhile, we'll play the songs in an acoustic live session at home an upload them on Youtube. Another idea would be making videos for each song.
Each of these steps needs worthy people to take on some of the work, having a chance to influence and be influenced by us and our original intent.
Please, feel free to contribute with any feedback or suggestion: Behind the door can become many other things we haven't even thought of yet! (a comic?)
We think of it as a meta-project, and we'd like YOU to develop it beyond its current limits.
Cloud vs. Machine è un progetto aperto.
E' iniziato a fine 2007, quando Alfonso Zarrella e Michel Iotti hanno deciso di terminare, arrangiare e registrare il concept album che avevano iniziato quando erano molto più giovani. Sono state riesumate le cassette, reperti del millennio passato, e dopo averle decifrate a mo' di geroglifici il materiale è stato migliorato, a volte riscritto.
Dopo un po' di tempo, l'album, Behind the door, è pronto.
Abbiamo chiesto ai nostri amici di aiutarci, e lo hanno fatto: molti strumenti, alcuni arrangiamenti e alcune parti vocali sono opera di altre persone. Abbiamo in mente di fare la stessa cosa per ogni ulteriore passo.
Per prima cosa, ci piacerebbe scrivere la storia per un musical. Poi, l'idea è preparare una traduzione/adattamento in italiano. Entrambe hanno bisogno di aiuto per nascere, e speriamo di portarle nei teatri con attori capaci e così via.
Nel frattempo, suoneremo le canzoni in una sessione live acustica e le metteremo a disposizione su Youtube. Un'altra idea sarebbe creare dei video per ogni canzone.
Ognuno di questi passi richiede persone meritevoli che si facciano carico di una parte del lavoro, ottenendo una possibilità di influenzare e venire influenzati da noi e dal nostro intento originale.
Per favore, sentitevi liberi di contribuire con qualsiasi riscontro o suggerimento: Behind the door può diventare tante altre cose a cui non abbiamo ancora neanche pensato! (un fumetto?)
Lo vediamo come un meta-progetto, e vorremmo che VOI lo sviluppaste oltre i suoi attuali limiti.
