New cd: Kasper Damgaard - AMONG THE FINEST GENTLEMEN.
11 New songs, featuring me and my soulmates from various projects, recorded last year.
Unlike "Anyone for tennis" This time around I wanted to focus more on songwriting. Vocals are performed by my good friends through the years: Ditlev Ulriksen (Innocent Blood), Doogie White (Cornerstone, Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen), Colin Wilkinson (Trevor Horn, Gary Moore), And myself singing on one track.
All together it's a mix of the styles I stumbled across, over the years. Hope you enjoy it.

"My dad put a banjo in my hand when I was 11 and I've played ever since.
My inspiration are picked up mainly from Deep Purple, Rolling Stones and
Van Halen. Guitarists which I have an eye on must be:

I started in different bands back in my youth and flirtet a bit with
fusionmusic and accoustic guitarmusic. Later I moved to Copenhagen and
participated in the local clubscene and played covergigs. In 1999 I met
Mike Tramp and recorded "Remembering White Lion" with rearranged White Lion
tracks with Mike and some of my musiccolleagues. It was recorded in three
weeks and was a very inspiring experience to be a part of.
After that I started to compose quite a few tracks with Mike, which later were
published on the "Recovering the wasted years" cd. During the recording I met
Steen Mogensen in the studio, which I had recorded a bit with earlier and I
recorded a couple of solos on a demo for Cornerstones next cd "Human stain".
After this the cooperation with Steen, Doogie and Allan ("Cornerstone") started
and we completed Human stain, which I have a special feeling for.
I had very free-hands during the whole process and think there came a fantastic
record out of it. Later on in the same period I went in the studio with Zause and
recorded "Ignition" with my "soulmates", which I have had many good experience with.
Parallel recorded Colin Wilkinson (ex Gary Moore) and I our little project "Peel" which
has a little more pop to it, but where the songs are in focus. A small project which
I still are very fond of when I listen to it today.
Later on I were on Mike Tramps "More to life than this" featuring Steve Lukather
and my hero Eric Johnson, doing a fantastic solo on the last track - check it out.
Meanwhile the recordings of Cornerstones 3rd album "Once upon our yesterdays" took
place and the result is a very guitaroriented album. We captured som great stuff there.
In 2004 i recorded my guitar album " anyone for tennis..." that
featured many aspects of my plaing.
In 2005, and 2007 we toured europe with cornerstone and released
"Cornerstone in concert".
Mike Tramp released a collektion of old songs, and some demo..s I co
wrote, and recorded with mike. Cornerstone- "two tales of one tomorrow" was released in 2007, and I am proud to say I played all kinds of guitar on it :-)
In 2007 i was in the studio with Jens Simonsen, doing the guitar on a
project "Liima inui" from Greenland.
the two songs from my upcomming cd, "Love to burn my fingers on you"
and "Everytime i tried to kiss you", features my song-writing the
whole way through, till the bitter end :-).
Ditlev Ulriksen ( Innocent blood ) is doing the most vocals, also
Doogie White, Stefan Mortensen (Zauce), Colin Wilkinson, and myself are doing lead vocals. My buddy Bjarne Holm, from the Zauce days is on drums, and Emil
Bendixen and Carsten Peddersen producing some mean bass playing to your
satisfaction... Thomas "klovn" Carlsen and Bjarne Holm rules percussion wise.
