Darfur Genocide: Many are suffering in the Darfur province of Sudan (in Northern Africa). Thousands of the African ethnicity are being killed by an Arab faction in Sudan known as the Janjaweed who are being aided by the Sudanese government. We, of S.T.A.N.D., will achieve 4 goals:
i) Increasing consciousness about the crisis in Darfur both in the United States and abroad.
ii) Raising relief for victims and refugees.
iii) Taking political actions for a swift and sustainable solution to the crisis.
iv) Coordination of national and international efforts to achieve the three goals above.
