I'd like to meet:

Ok...so...how exactly did The day after... come into existence and what is there motivation and drive behind there music? Why is it they want to persue a career in the music world? How and when did they first know music was there life? All this has been put forward and answered by them in an EXCLUSIVE interview. Heres what they've had to say:... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ..........................JENINE: When I was 12 I saw a band called Sugar play and knew I needed to be a part of it. I originally took up drums in the middle school (and played in the super cool jazz and pep bands) and continued to play in college, including frat parties. I realized I wanted to write my own music so I picked up a guitar and KC and I left our old band and started this one, many many light years ago. Some bands that I have seen and influenced me to pursue music and forget about my college degree are Sunny Day Real Estate, Sugar (of course), Smashing Pumpkins, Placebo, Face to Face, Garbage, Foo Fighters, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Trail of Dead and so many more. I really dont know what I would do if I didnt play music. Probably be 30 living with my parents and a cat. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ..............................KC: Music has always pretty much been a big part of my life. I can remember LOVING Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson when I was a kid. My brother had to put on "Happy Birthday" by Stevie Wonder to calm me down when he was babysitting me. That carried over into new wave - U2, Duran Duran, Erasure, INXS, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, etc.Now bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Sunny Day Real Estate, Placebo, Pretty Girls Make Graves, and AFI among others, have taken a hold of me. There's always been a song or band that's been a soundtrack to whatever I was dealing with growing up. Being able to be a part of that process by actually making music, possibly to be a soundtrack for someone else, is reason enough for anyone to start a band. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ...........................DANIEL: When I was about five year's old, I remember watching Billy Idol on T.V. He was in concert. These guy's were putting on a great show. The fan's were just going crazy. And I remember thinking to myself "I want that!". So as i was growing up, I had a neighbor who was a drummer in a band and they would let me come over and watch them rehearse. When they would take a break I would always sneak back behind the drums and everytime I sat down I already knew what to play. I didn't pick the beat, the beat picked me. I just knew that music was already a part of me. My influence in music and not just drum's are Phil Collins, Ringo Starr, Sting, Buddy Rich, and Paul McCartney
