This community has been started because I along with a few other close friends have realized that theres a huge problem forming in the Las Vegas Local Music Scene. This problem, being the violence and drugs, has turned off (not to mention scared) a lot of people away from all the talent thats floating around this city. We as a city need to fix this problem. Its not right for people to be scared to go to local shows in their hometown for fear of being beat up by "Crew" kids. Its also not right for bands to promote drugs and underage drinking to the kids who look up to them and go to their shows. I'm not happy with it and Id like to believe a lot of you aren't either.
This all dawned on me at Extreme Thing this year...
I was in the crowd during Escape the Fate when I realized that there was a kid who had fallen down in the pit i had somehow ended up in..
This is normal.
Kids fall and someone picks them up.
No harm done...
But not here.
Apparently i ended up in the wrong pit somehow
because this kid was getting his face kicked in by some big guys with no shirts on and NY hats on.

Before i could get out
I was punched in the head twice
and ended up on the floor getting kicked.
Yeah
There was my wake up call.
(something I didn't mention I'm a 5ft tall female)
Needless to say
I left Extreme Thing early this year.
So as you can see,The scene has some issues.
And my goal for this community is to try and fix what we've fucked up.
Hopefully the love I have for our local scene will spread and kids wont have to be scared to come see OUR bands.
