Gary and Victoria met in The Thunderdome (Victoria's basement) in February 2007 when Gary's band, Bitchslicer, played Victoria's 30th Birthday party... and we've been doing shows ever since. We love music - it brought us together.
THUNDERDOME:: Awesome full size basement shows. It started because of great friends and great bands, we all hang out, bands play and everyone has a good time. It's a good circle of people.
IN GENERAL:: We book shows in the tristate area. We put on mostly metal shows but also do acoustic shows, some noise and weirdo stuff and pretty much anything we like, be it country bluegrass or grindcore. We love music but hate bullshit - this seemed like a good way to not have to deal with attitude. We got sick of the "scene" so we made our own. We're building a community of people and bands who keep the music going, who work together and hook each other up. At our shows, you'll often find bands sharing a backline, trading merch and getting each other's contact info. We have a lot of PA, NJ and DE bands but have also brought in bands from Baltimore, Boston, New York, Spain and Australia.
OTHER INFO:: Gary makes all the awesome fliers (you can find them in the pics folders) and we promote the shows pretty heavily. Gary owns and operates 'Obscenity Cult Records' and records many of the bands that we book at his full studio, The Deathstar, here in Philly. We try to put out as much music as we can and are often planning split 7 inches and other cool comp ideas.
