I grew up in the wilds, hate the city, and yet I've been bouncing among several major metropolitan areas and will continue to so for some time. I love fashion but hate shopping. I'll hike, camp, and fish before I'll buy a pair of jeans. I keep my hair just the way it comes out due to lack of time, money, and motivation. What you see is what you get! I love anything vintage and have a newly rediscovered passion for football. I jump out of planes and like to pretend to cook. I'm an avid believer that motorcycles are a girls best friend - not diamonds. I am fascinated with other cultures and want to travel yet can't speak anything other than english and my six year old passport has never been stamped although that is top priority this year. I can party with the best of them but often prefer to stay home and call it a mellow night. I love politics, philosophy, art, running in the rain, and a good glass of wine.
I believe our culture is entirely too pop culture obsessed and apathetic to the real issues in the world. While you're wondering what purse Paris is wearing there are kids starving and lacking basic health care and education. I want to adopt children from oppressed situations throughout the world and give them opportunities they'd never know otherwise. If we don't take a stand for what we believe in, who will??
I'd have to say my biggest pet peeve in life is to wake up to the sound of an alarm clock. Is there anything more annoying?? Perhaps smokers flicking their cigarette butts on the ground in an effort to help pollute the world and save themselves five steps to a trash can...maybe. It is pretty damn close!
