Milly Riquelme

Milly Riquelme Perez, Santiago de Cuba, born February 11, 1979.Studied Piano, Keyboards, and Musicology at The Superior Arts Institute (ISA) in Havana Cuba from 2000 to 2006.Attained Licentiate of Music specializing in Musicology with Honors. 2001-2003 Participated in Concerts and formed various groups performing in and around Cuba as a principal pianist, vocalist and musical director.2004 Joined as principal pianist for the very popular Cuban salsa band Conexion Salsera. This band has a very long history on the Cuban music scene. Performed in several national and international tours to Düsseldorf, Germany, where the band made a promotional concert about the Musica Cubana. A film about the life of some of the musicians of Buena Vista Social Club. Performed on tour with one of the members of this very important band.2005 Performed 2 with ’’Los Hijos del Son” in Munich with singers and musicians from the prestigious band Buena Vista Social Club, Recorded CD ‘’Salseros por Sentimiento’’2007-8 Performing as a duo with Talia Rodriguez at Shangri-la Chengdu China, one of China’s most prestigious new hotels.2008 Performing as a solo singer/pianist at Intercontinental Hotel, one of the new most prestigious hotels in Chengdu, China.
