Korean Comfort Women and my Grandma: These Women are our countries truest heroes. Many lost their lives serving a life they had no control over. They were rejected by our own ppl and were disgraced in the face of all humanity. 200,000 of these women were forced sex slaves in WWII. Raped up to 40 times a night they endured severe injuries were forced into horrifying sexual acts and more often than not KILLED, MURDERED for sins commited against them. The testimony of these women, who look no different than our own grandmothers, are engraved in my soul. Their cries are heard in my dreams. Their courage brings me tears. Their blood runs through me and every Korean out there. They are my heroes. They are the reason y Im proud to be Korean.
