Formed in late 2007, The Undiscovered is an acoustic rock duo combining two experienced musicians with drastically different influences:Nick, 26 and originally from Spokane Washington, is a self taught guitarist augmented by a two year stint of classical guitar lessons from Michael Millham of Gonzaga University. "I have played guitar for 12 years and have gigged in a few different bands, both in Washington State and in San Diego. I come from a musical family. My dad played drums for a band in the sixties "The Atlantics" who gigged at "The Whiskey A Go Go Club."Jon, 27, originally from San Diego California, is a professionally trained vocalist who got his start singing musical theater and opera in high school. After going to UCSD as a vocal performance major, he fronted bands such as Superficial, a punk-tinged rock band, and Shaolin Punk, an industrial metal band. "I've sung so many different styles and genres, but its nice to work on some music that appeals to me on a very basic level. Very melody-oriented, darker lyrics, bare-bones sound. I think it showcases our individual talents very well."The Undiscovered are currently songwriting for their upcoming album, and have already caught the eye of a few labels.
