About Me

WET or W.E.T hails from Linköping, Sweden and has been around since July 1987. Over the years they have done tree full CD:s and toured all over Scandinavia playin small clubs as well as big festivals. Jerry and Sonny or "Svisse" as his bandmembers call him, meet sometimes in the hazy and early 80:s in some smelly and dirty garage. WET startded out with Morgan Svensson on lead vocals and guitar in 83 and Mike Dylte on drums. Jerry left the band to play in a top 40 band in Denmark so the band ask Lollo Öberg if he could join on bass and vocals. Drummer Jörgen Broman was now also in the band that had gotten a good reputation as a liveact in Linköping. A singel was recorded in 87 "You treated me bad"/ "Show me the way". The lineup with Lollo, "Svisse", Jörgen and Jerry lasted for 15 years and tre albums. The Jörgen choosed to concentrate on other projects Per Kohlus (ex Skin and Bone, Lipstick joined on drums. Per also run a musicstore i Motala Sweden, besides being a steady as a rock and hard hittin.. drummer.WET has played along with bands like Trouble, Black Sabbath, Rammstein, Nine, Dimmu Borgir to name at few and played festivals like Sweden Rock Festival, Metaltown and other main festivals in Sweden.Last year it was 20 years or so since the first rehearsal with the band that has it..s roots way back inte the stoneage, well 1983 to be honest, when Jerry och Svisse meet for the first time. The band started out that year with a different line up and the music was a bit softer and more bluesy. But the 1 of july in 1987 "new" WET played for the first time. Now it..s 2008 and after some time in limbo there are a lot of things coming. A "best of" album is in it..s process of being made and a new album is in its final stage of mixing and there are plans for some gigs later this year.to be continued...
