Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mike Scala is an award winning singer/songwriter. By age seventeen, Mike was a well established independent artist, performing at underground jazz and rock venues across Los Angeles and New York such as CBGB's, The Black Cat, Tangier's, The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, and Terra Blues. He would later work with artists from Alien Ant Farm, 311, The John Butler Trio, and The Rivalry to release his self titled Debut Album and his new album "Autumn Ashes." He has received international radio play for his hit singles "Fallin", "Take Me As I Am", "Contemplation", "Soldier's Cry" and many more. Recently, his song "Soldier's Cry", was featured in the nationwide "Wounded Warrior Project", a humanitarian program aiming to support War Veterans and their families.Mike has been touring worldwide (U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Europe, The Caribbean) since January 2008 captivating fans with his explosive performances. His insightful lyrics, refreshing level of social awareness, and drive to inspire others through music, catapulted him into the music world as a powerful and introspective artist. Mike has also just played the World's First gig in New Zealand on the Franz Josef Glacier with the making of his new music video. This foundation provides aid and educational opportunities for "at risk" youth across the U.S. and in developing countries.
