We Swim You Jump is not about sports, it’s about songs.
There is no real "story" to it. But We Swim You Jump can mean lots of things. For example a name of a dolphinarium in Sweden where you can look at swimming and jumping dolphins all day. Or it can be the name of a countergroup that reacts to the immensely popular "Jumpstyle-dancing" scene from Holland. It of course, can also be the name of a music group that thought We Swim You Jump was a better band name than Hellhole. theindiemusicdb
- June 2008, Richard and Niek had to make up a name quickly after they are asked to play their first shows in berlin (DE), hamburg (DE) and noorderzon (NL). Bas, Maarten and Bas were asked to join the band. we swim you jump was born.
we swim youjump do things like playing shows at Eurosonic 2009, Paradiso, Patronaat, 't Paard, being the most favorited band of groningen by Vera-club, receiving lots of attention from blogs around the globe, releasing a 5track record on subroutine, making new songs for a full length (~ end of '09). and more obviously...
