It is my hope that I will be afforded the opportunity to meet good people (on and off line) with whom I can have quality interaction, encouraging relations, exchange of ideas and goals, exposure to progressive ideals and thoughts, create or foster friendships and whatever have you... in good faith! Grab yourself a warm cup of creamy chocolate with marshmallows and, allow me to put on some music to calm/soothe your mind and soul, take the weight off and without further ado let me proceed to propose to you my Business plan. ******** DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS ******** The origin of the Business Below is some personal info about me. I hope you find it enlightening, entertaining, and somewhat useful...:-). I consider myself a truly unique individual...Sounds cliche, huh? But it is very true. I am not your typical man. Let me rephrase that, I am not your typical black-latino man (if there is such a thing). I am a young black-latino professional set out to achieve my life`s goals and make a place for myself in this hectic world. I am a cultured, well-rounded Caribbean brother from New York who likes to have fun and squeeze the zest out of life. I believe life has many wonderful things to offer and I`m eager to discover whom I will be taking this journey through life with. So if you need a man that can do virtually anything to make your toenails curl, then you know where to find me. As for my career, I am an engineering management grad student working as an analyst for a major financial service firm/bank here in NYC and fine tuning my skill. It`s a great job, somewhat challenging w/ diverse co-workers, a chance to acquire lots of portfolio management/ analysis experience, etc. Besides...it pays the rent... :-). In the last few years since I`ve been here, I have already been promoted to MIS technology officer and project leader so things are definitely looking up. I live in good ol` Long Island but commute to work in the big city. A papi raised on platanos, meringue & reggae, dominoes and the Jets. As for my physical stature, I stand 2.04 Varas tall, and 13.22 Stones heavy, with an athletic body, warm smile, deep brown eyes, close haircut. I have always thought of myself as a person that is easy going/laid back, complex yet simple, confident yet shy at times, an extroverted introvert and how can I forget, a positive cynic! Think about it. Before I continue, I have to give love to the Lord. Without him I wouldn`t be here right now and I`m living proof that all things are possible through him. I won`t claim to be the perfect man of God (I am far from this) but he is definitely in my life. I don`t do anything I`m ashamed of. Next I have to give it out to my one true love - my mother. You protected me all my life and I want you to know that it`s my turn to protect you. I`ve been everywhere from the worst streets to corporate America, and no matter how hard the situation got; with your love I overcame it. I`m just continuing to learn and excel because the game just isn`t the same anymore. I`m trying to meet and surround myself with positive people. ******************************************* The happiest of people do not necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes their way. ******** STATEMENT OF PURPOSE ******** Association with the opposite sex: Who am I seeking? What do I want? At the moment I want a thick vanilla milkshake. Anyhow. You know how there were moments in youth that you seem to believe you had all the answers and even if you didn`t, it did not matter? Well I feel like that right now. And since the child eventually learns that desires change and the realities of youth were set aside for that occasion, I have learned that by tomorrow I will be a different person, perhaps not by much but enough, just enough. And remember when I said I wanted a milkshake? Well I want grapes now, the white ones, without the seeds. Honestly, I feel I have a good grasp on whom I seek. It would be nice to meet a mature woman who is intelligent, obscenely confident and witty. An attractive woman who exudes and simply oozes confidence and takes pride in her appearance and the image she portrays to others so it`s not always what she looks like but her mere presence (what a rush!). I hope she would be charming, playful, warm (at times), sensitive, delicate, provocative (yes please!!!), but with a tendency to be silly and one who simply loves to engage in good conversation. Basically, a woman who is truly beautiful inside. Of course...outside beauty doesn`t hurt...:-). I would prefer the kind of woman who recognizes the fact that she has needs whether they may be emotional, mental, spiritual or sexual that MUST be satisfied. The kind of woman who makes you want to better yourself to keep up, makes you want to do things for her, makes you want to spoil her in all ways, makes you want to touch her all over, makes you feel good and special in her presence and all that without her even asking or uttering a word. She is an inspiration to all around her and that`s the kind of woman I`m talking about!!! To put it plainly, I am a simple guy and I seek a woman that makes me only dream of her whenever I am asleep. A woman that whenever she smiles I know there is no obstacle I cannot overcome. A woman that leaves an unforgettable memory whenever I feel her touch. I seek a woman that when she calls me her man, she says it with such certainty, confidence and security that it is believed by all that hear her. My style is a culmination of my body structure, my taste in colors, the season, my exposure from childhood days, countries I have been to and most importantly my personality! Personality is the most important because no matter what you wear or how expensive, if you do not have the personality to carry it off you will not look good. I say my style because when I shop I shop to suit me, I shop with an eye for what will be comfortable on me, I shop with an eye for quality and not quantity, I`m also a "clever" shopper (ErikaBadu) so when you see the final product and I hold your attention acknowledge what has gone into what you see and accept that the style you see is an insight into who I am! Even though I`m extremely versatile when it comes to music, I always find myself returning to Rhythm and Blues, Hip-Hop and Jazz. I can listen to the Pumpkins when I`m in the right mood or I can listen to an assortment of classical music when I feel like I need to focus. Go figure. I have a passion for instruments that is why I love jazz and live band. I like artists like Maxwell, Root, Jay-Z, OutKast, Mobb Deep, Badu, Busta Rhymes, Sade, Notorious BIG, Tito Puente, Dave Matthews Band, Enya, Dr. Dre, & Snoop, Ol` Dirty, Brian Mcknight, R Kelly, Janet, Jill Scott., D`Angelou, Koffee Brown, Kenny Latimore, Santana, and other Old School artists such as B.B. King, Curtis Mayfield, Teddy Pendagrass, Marvin Gaye et al.....Like I said, my musical taste is very eclectic Oh, by the way, did I mention I like MAXWELL? ******** OPERATING PROCEDURES ******** Activities I find myself engaging in.... I truly try to have as much fun as I can get involved in...:-). I love the company of friends who can laugh with you and at you. Once in the company of this caliber of friends ANYTHING you do is and will be fun!! I enjoy traveling and gaining exposure to different countries, cultures and people. I am very adventurous and spontaneous and would try almost anything at the drop of a dime. Uhm, perhaps not quite anything...:-). As for some of the activities I engage in on a regular basis they include clubs, bars, playing pool, bowling, cinema, shopping, mountain bike riding, and exploring New York City. I like doing the not-so-common,(the Gemini in me). When I`m with the fellas, we usually get a lil` bottle of Ray and Nephew w/ OJ (I can`t even front) or a few cases of Guinness and bust out the dominoes or PS2/X-Box. Besides those, I love jetskiing (when I can), jogging, concerts, and amusement parks, anything live. Other than that, whateva`s whateva. Actually, I truly enjoy many of the simple things in life like taking walks, sitting outside on a nice evening, and spending time with my family. Yet I can be just as entertained laying` up with some drinks and watching a movie cuddled up with the one I`m involved with. I must admit, I have a weakness for the more intimate thing that is shared between two people who have developed over the course of time. Nothing outrageous, and I have a thing about giving relaxing foot massages...:-). Oh, and pretty feet are a big plus!...:-). Overall, I`m a chill person, and my personality reflects that. I think this pretty much sums it up. ******** STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION ******** In retrospect... The Fine Details Without sounding too redundant, since we are on the topic, I would like to revisit the prior theme on courting and the ideal mate, who could quite possibly be you. I am an honest person who doesn`t judge a person only on appearance but a combination of how well u carry yourself, personality, and connection. Most I consider me a real nice person to know. I get along well with people, even if the sparks aren`t there on a relationship-tip. I love open conversations, don`t care for timidness, because I`m outgoing, if I`m thinking it, I`ll most likely say it. There isn`t going to be too much guessing going on, about how I feel about things and such. I like a female that I can bug out with, because I like laughing. One-word answers are annoying to me. Another major plus is pretty hair, and a woman who knows how to smell good for her man. I tend to be very much the romantic. This is reminiscent or loosely related to the typical southern gentleman stereotype, so don`t be alarmed if I like to opening doors, sit you at our table and order for you while dining, flowers and an occasional card or a cheery note for you to find later to put a smile on your face. I love to pamper a woman when I have the time, and go the extra mile. I`m very much a leader, and stay positive in whatever I`m doing. Was brought up right, so I am very much family-oriented. I figure I`m representing my lovely mother and father, so I can`t be slouching` or out there doing` things I know I shouldn`t, or don`t HAVE to, do. I can`t say I`ve been an angel all my life (NO illegal stuff ever), but certain things you have to grow out of and begin to focus on the big picture. I`m a man, and I carry myself as such. I seek a female that knows how to meet a man halfway in a relationship. The same respect, trust and affection I give is the same I`m expecting. Common sense is a must, mainly because it isn`t so common anymore. Understand that a relationship is a give-and-take thing, and we have to stay on the same accord, and do us together. I believe everything will fall into place if we play our parts. A woman`s intellect is a big turn-on to me. I adore a woman who knows what she wants, and isn`t afraid to ask me for it. Surprises are great as they add spice and unpredictability when the relationship settles down. I`m the type of brother that, instead of doing the usual, would rather bring my girl to the Pocono Resorts for a weekend or hop on a dinner cruise around the city. Sex is lovely, DON`T get it twisted (I`m very sexual and spontaneous, as I`ll be the first to ask you to sit on my face), but you need some sort of substance and goals that you`re actually working towards...got me? I desire a female that I can bring to a family BBQ (you know how we do y`all) and not have to stay up on her all day and night `cause she`s anti-social. I`m close to my family (a big family) and overtime you turn around, we`re always having get together and things like that. It makes me feel good to know that you know how to interact; it shows interest in my life. Little intangible things like that are what impress me. I`d rather play my part and do right in a relationship, this way, I can have a clear conscience, and I can sleep right at night. I try to learn what a woman wants instead of thinking I know it all, and support my woman like a man. I find irresistible an intellectual female who is very feminine and got her shyt straight mentally. I love a woman who can thug it out with the size 4 timbs, jeans and a sweater and still look feminine one minute, then, flip it and hurt`em with some open-toe shoes and a skirt the next. The one who knows how to dress elegant for a dinner or social gathering, and can still go home and put it down (y`all understand me)! I don`t need a female whose primary concern is who fought who and what new Jordan`s came out, cuz I been there- at 16. Come right, and have some type of direction. By the way, let me quickly point out that if you looking for a baby daddy, it`s not me (Although I really adore kids). If you`re looking to cheat and make your man mad, it`s not me. I think life is molded by your experiences. They shape your perspectives. I think life is also dependent on the choices you make. But at the end of the day, if something is meant to be, it will be. Sounds like a contradiction I guess, but it has always made sense for me. Yes I believe in destiny, or moreover compatibility, but no I don`t believe happiness falls into your lap, you have to put in some effort, otherwise college was absolutely unnecessary and someone special is just going to knock on my door and introduce herself. (If I where so lucky.) I don`t think life is black and white. I personally consider myself an example of a gray area with my background and personality. I`ve been told I am sincere. I know I am straightforward. I believe misunderstandings occur when people don`t have the same expectations and are on two different pages. I value honesty. Love a good sense of humor and great conversation. I`m pretty easy going but still passionate about life. I try to live my life with no regrets, make good choices, experience as much as possible, and treasure great memories. I`m open-minded but not open to any and everything. Short term goals: finish my MBA. Long term goals: SEE THE WORLD! I believe there is a thin line between ambition and greed and I like to think of myself as one who flirts on that line very often! In my life and all things I do I strive for the top, that is how I was raised and that is how I will raise my own. I have NO intentions of losing sight of my ultimate goal that is success. My definition of success is broad based and multi dimensional.
