Ymir è una one-man-band black ambient folk metal nata ai primi dell'anno 2008 da un'idea di Nartum, compositore e programmatore di tutti gli strumenti; l'idea è quella di ricreare il concetto primordiale del "dove tutto ebbe inizio", con qualcosa di decisamente più misterioso e freddo, che musicalmente sfocia nelle atmosfere oscure, che riecheggiano lamenti lontani in un paesaggio freddo e desolato, dove sfocate visioni compiono l'estremo viaggio verso una dolorosa quanto malinconica consapevolezza di essere soli nel proprio oblio...

Ymir is a one-man-band ambient black metal born on January 2008 from an idea of Nartum, composer and all instruments programmer; The idea was to recreate those cold and depressive visions of my primordial dreamful mind of an ancient land, where confused visions travels through a painful and melancholical awareness to be alone in the own oblivion...
