Thrilla, born Harrison Coleman May 19 in Baton Rouge, La began rapping at the age of 13. Growing up life was hard for Thrilla constantly moving, going to different schools, neighborhood fights, and eviction notices. At the young age of 10, his parents divorced leaving him without much of a father-figure. He turned to the streets; hustling just to put clothes on his back and shoes on his feet. Not knowing a studio existed in Baton Rouge Thrilla free styled for his classmates and neighborhood friends gaining his respect. At age 17 he recorded his first song with Grind Squad Entertainment, performed that same song at local talent shows, and he even got some radio spins from the local radio station. Next, his daughter was born, Thrilla describes the birth of his daughter as “life-changingâ€, and he decided to drop out of school to provide for his daughter. Working 9 to 5 jobs the time passed, now unsigned artist. He has performed at well known venues and opened up for popular performers around his home city. “Not only can I rap I act and writeâ€, says Thrilla.
