For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
-Ephesians 6:12
There is a war raging on in the world today; a war not only of flesh and blood but also in the spiritual realm. The youth of our nation has a target on its back that is getting larger every day. More and more are seeing that something must be done before its too late and a generation is lost. The battlefield has been drawn and you will find Inner Struggle on the front-lines.
Inner Struggle started with two friends who got together for jam sessions and hone in on their writing skills. They shared three passions: playing guitar, writing music and their faith in Christ. The two would eventually add a singer to make a trio and quickly began to build from there. They would recruit their closest friends to fill the remaining positions that would eventually form the 5 piece group that you know today.
The group knew right away that something had drawn them together for a purpose. They saw the destruction all around them in their generation and with a determination to change an entire generation before it's lost they set out with swords blazing. Their mission simple: To bring a message of change, faith, recovery and forgiveness all while attracting a crowd of diversity with their melodic screams, guitar riffs and skin-pealing drum solos.
Whether Christian or Atheist, male or female, whatever nationality Inner Struggle wants to reach you where you are. They don't care where you are, where you've been or where you think you're going, they have a message to bring and it's screamed loud and clear. With members Shea Thomas as lead vocals, Matt Penticuff and Jeremy Thomas on guitars, Brandon Moore on bass and Jake Truitt on drums there’s no doubt you will find an element about their music you love.
The band reaches out to fans of Evanescence, Flyleaf, Godsmack, Demon Hunter and Sevendust with their music and their own special sound that is purely Inner Struggle. The lines are drawn and Inner Struggle wants to ask, what side are you on? Don't be left behind, but if you are Inner Struggle will be there with a hand to reach out and grab you. The band wants to reach out to the lost and lonely, raped and afflicted, addicted and abused with lyrics of understanding. They've come through the fire and flames to see another day and want others to know they can too.
