Deadbeat Club

Get the hell outta here you...you...DEADBEATS!!!

About Me

Evoking the infectious sounds of the sixties surf guitar and borrowing their name from a favourite B52's song, Deadbeat Club are ripping up stages in their native Melbourne. In the lead up to the release of their debut EP "Runaway", Fe, Jo and Alli have wowed crowds and been honing their set down to a vicious funfest.

Although compared often to their beloved B52's, PJ Harvey, the Stooges and the garage sound of yesteryear, chief songwriter and guitarist Fe Porter along with co-conspiritor Jo Gardiner set out to do nothing more than play onstage and have some kicks while they're at it. What they achieved was so much more. Enter keyboardist and backup singer Allison O'Callaghan, and this year the Deadbeat Club really hit their stride.
So the next logical step was to hit the studio to lay their set down in wax. The result is their debut album "Runaway" which is a fleeting, almost whirlwind, glimpse of their talents.
If you're into your garage and beat-girl rhythms, then Deadbeat Club are just bound to be your bag.
