Lucid SounD is Andreas 'benKa' Benkoczi, born in 1981 Hungary.
Began his music career in 1994-95 when he started to learn to play the gitar. In ’95 he was charmed by the music of Purple Motion and Skaven from Future Crew the winner of many assembly demo contest that time. So Andreas started to produce music with trackers.
After a few years of inactivity in 2001 he experienced goa trance music (thanks to one of his best friend KAdes), what changed not only his music orientation but his life also. Therefore from 2001 he began to compose goa/psy trance music.
His first project was 'Ethereal Light', which was quite experimental stuff in sound. After a dozen of tracks, in 2003 he started his second projet Lucid SounD.
In early 2004 hungarian-israeli duo BigBacterials and Lucid SounD have joined their forces and created a special music project: OutOfSync. They have produced kind of a psychedelic techno/trance. Merged the melodic style of LucidSounD and the experimental, industrial yet psychedelic style of BigBacterials. Although that collaboration didn't lasted too long, it gave new experiences and ideas to both projects.
LucidSound's debutation infront of audience came later in 2004 at Liquid Exchange festival (@lake Balaton, Hungary, organized by Raumcrew [AT]). Since that party LucidSounD was invited to many parties and festivals not just in Hungary but in the surrounding countries also.
He played with such big artists like: Astrix, Talamasca, Star-X, etc.
In 2008 benKa started his second project: EkoLogic. Its genre can be described as a mix of chill/ambient/downtempo psy. The idea and impressions came when he prepared a few tracks for his chill set to be played on O.Z.O.R.A. 2008 festival chill stage.
