J.C. has been playing guitar, writing and recording songs for about 30 years. He joined his first band at age 14, was a disc jockey at a radio station at 16, and released his first record at 19. For the next 12 years he played gigs all over, spent hours and hours writing and recording new songs. Then in 1992, after a management and record deal with CAPITOL RECORDS fell through, He gave up, and didn't play for the next 12 years. Then in 2004, he picked up his guitar, started writing, formed ROXBAND, started recording, and released a CD in 2005. He had a local hit, that also received national airplay, called "Seahawk Rock". He has now teamed up with Somer Macek, the best female singer to come around in years. Together they are writing and recording new songs for an upcoming CD. They are joined by Sean Fox on guitar, Matt Woomer on bass, and Brad Tessen on drums. The band is simply called "SOMAR". You can check them out at www.myspace.com/somarband.
