ARDNAXELA (a.k.a Alexandra Rosa) nacio en San Juan, Puerto Rico. A los 6 años comenzo a estudiar ballet clasico y aprendio a sentir la musica de forma visceral. Luego, empezo a tomar clases de piano pero termino echando el profesor de la casa porque quiso improvisar sus propias melodias no formuladas. De aqui viene su entrenamiento clasico de escuchar discos retro con audifonos y aprender musica. ARDNAXELA (su nombre al reves) refleja su 'alter ego' simbolizado como una animada extraterrestre verde de creacion original, expresando una actitud sin inhibiciones y una fresca originalidad.
En la universidad estudio actuacion y participo en teatro y television. Fue cantante con los grupos de Indie Pop 'PLASTICINA', 'INFAMIA ALL-STARS' y 'MUPSIQUITA' (ahora conocido como SUPERAQUELLO). Luego fue corista del grupo VIVANATIVA (Universal) girando en Puerto Rico, Mexico y España, abriendo conciertos para La Ley y Ricky Martin. En poco tiempo descubrio que ya era tiempo de empezar su carrera solista y empezo a componer. Sandro de América de Argentina encabeza su lista de artistas que la han influenciado, seguido por Jose Jose, Cocteau Twins, Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley, RocÃo Durcal, Dusty Springfield, The Smiths, Silvia Rexach y The Pixies.
En el 2005 presenta su CD debut 'TELECINE DE LA TARDE CON ARDNAXELA', tira independiente a un gran respaldo critico. Lanza los sencillos/videos parael tema disco/funky 'EL SELLO' y la emocional 'TIRIJALA', la cual recibe exposicion en EEUU y Puerto Rico en varios canales musicales de TV y radio. Su audiencia leal canta sus letras en sus presentaciones en directo y ha girado en Mexico, EEUU y Puerto Rico. Su trabajo musical es un resultado directo de influencia culturales mezclando elementos musicales de Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina y España de la epoca '60s y principios de los '70s. Posee un contenido unica de liricas empatada con una armonizacion y estructura ritmica interesante que hace lo que es ARDNAXELA.
En 2007 y 2008 trabajo como corista y teclados con una artista Pop reconocida internacionalmente de EMI Latin y giro por Mexico, EEUU, España, Republica Dominicana, Puerto Rico, Sur y Centro America. ARDNAXELA actualmente se radica en la cuidad de Mexico D.F., presentando en vivo, re-editando su disco en mexico, y grabando lo que va a ser su segundo CD que saldra por el sello Indie Diablito Records con distribucion con Warner Music Mexico.

ARDNAXELA (a.k.a Alexandra Rosa) was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She studied classical ballet starting at age 6, which introduced her to feeling music in a visceral way. At age 8 she started taking piano lessons but soon kicked the teacher out as she found out she would rather improvise her own unformulated melodies. Hence the classic training of listening to old records through headphones. ARDNAXELA (her name backwards) reflects her alter ego (symbolized as a smiling green alien cartoon which she created), radiating a no BS attitude, totally free and uninhibited.
While in college, Alexandra studied acting and performed on TV and Theater, while singing and performing with the local Indie Pop bands 'PLASTICINA', 'INFAMIA ALL STARS' and 'MUPSIQUITA' (now known as SUPERAQUELLO). She later joined as a backing vocalist in the band 'VIVANATIVA' (Universal) and toured Puerto Rico, Mexico and Spain, while opening concerts for La Ley and Ricky Martin. In short time she realized that it was time to start her own career as a solo artist and she immersed heavily into songwriting. Sandro de América from Argentina tops the list of artists that has influenced her, followed by Cocteau Twins, Pink Floyd, Jose Jose, Jeff Buckley, RocÃo Durcal, Dusty Springfield, The Smiths, Silvia Rexach and The Pixies.
In 2005 she presented her debut CD 'TELECINE DE LA TARDE CON ARDNAXELA', released independent to great critical acclaim. The singles/video clips for the disco/funky 'EL SELLO' and the subtle, emotional track 'TIRIJALA' receives rotation on various music TV and radio channels in USA and Puerto Rico, while her loyal feverish following chant her songs at her live performances while touring Puerto Rico, USA and Mexico. Her musical work is a direct result of a strong cultural influence mixing Puerto Rican, Argentine, Mexican and Spanish musical elements from the '60s and '70s. A unique lyrical content matched by an excellent harmonic and rhythmic structure makes who is ARDNAXELA.
In 2007 and first half of 2008 she performed as backing vocalist /keys for a Internationally renown EMI Latin Pop artist and toured Mexico, USA, Spain, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, South and Central America. ARDNAXELA is currently living in Mexico City, promoting her record, performing live, re-editing her record in Mexico and recording new material for her second CD to be released on Indie label Diablito Records and distribution with Warner Music Mexico.
