C and L Entertainment (C&LE) was started by Nelson McSwain, a former A&R executive and professional musician with a passion for helping people succeed. Nelson first started out as a drummer for Grammy-nominated artist Carlton Moody and The Moody Brothers in 1981, touring the US and the UK. He ended up perfecting his business skills and became a highly successful sales and marketing representative for a large production company. In 1998, Nelson re-entered the entertainment world working for a 45-year old independent label. As an A&R executive, Nelson was charged with finding new artists that showed true potential and could be further developed into successful artists, but he knew developing an artist took more than producing a good record. Leveraging his diverse business and music background, along with a newly assembled team of highly experienced professionals across multiple industries, Nelson launched C and L Entertainment (C&LE) as a complete support network offering an innovative suite of services designed specifically to develop and promote musicians that had demonstrated both talent and dedication. These services have expanded to include everything from music career planning, to music publishing and production, to advertising and marketing, to full booking and band management services.
