I'd love to meet Jesus... I'd just like to hear what he'd have to say to me if we sat down for a one on one convo, you know? I'd also like to meet a few dead people, and one day I might get to meet a few of them: people like Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Teresa, Ghandi (though he wasn't a Christian, so I won't meet him, unfortunately), and Peter.
Okay, prepare yourself, because this could be a while. Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, David Crowder*Band, Matt Redman, Passion Worship, Hillsong, Robbie Seay Band, Shane & Shane, Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay, Ellery (formerly Dividing the Plunder), Jadon Lavik, Switchfoot, Nichole Nordeman, The Believe Band (formerly Foundation Red), Aaron Pelsue Band, Telecast, Third Day, Death Cab for Cutie, The Killers, Mae, Lifehouse, The Fray, The Format, Hot Hot Heat, Interpol, Dashboard Confessional, John Mayer, Damien Rice, Ben Harper, Nada Surf, Kelly Clarkson, Billy Joel, and surely a few that I forgot.
I'm a big fan of the emotional tear-jerkers, but mostly I'm a comedy/satire kind of man. I also have a fancy for the "con artist" movies. My favorites include Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Dead Poets' Society, Tommy Boy, Meet the Parents, Zoolander, Remember the Titans, the Bourne trilogy movies, Spiderman 1 and 2, Chronicles of Narnia, Forrest Gump, Erin Brockovich, Hotel Rwanda, Oceans Eleven, Oceans Twelve, and The Italian Job.

Foster), Mere Christianity (C.S. Lewis), Death on a Friday Afternoon: Meditations on the Last Words of Jesus From the Cross (Richard John Neuhaus), The Confessions of St. Augustine (St. Augustine), anything Agatha Christie, and finally, The Way I Was Made (Chris Tomlin).
Obviously Jesus is my number one hero because I am trying to live and model my life after his, but I do have a few modern-day heroes. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a big hero of mine because of the situations in life that he worked to overcome; he is really a beacon of hope that change CAN happen. Ghandi and Nelson Mandela are also big heroes of mine because of their peaceful ways in which they enacted change in some very potentially violent situations. Mother Teresa is a hero of mine because of how she totally gave her life to the poor and ministering to people in the name of Christ. Finally, Martin Luther is a hero of mine, because he is the epitome of a person standing for what they believe in and doing the right thing.
