Everyone wanna be a star! There are only a select few that can keep working hard and stay focused enough to became just that. Gambino Slim being no stranger to the game has earned his name in more ways then one. Having a tall slim frame you would think hes a pointguard for someone's basketball team but thats not the case, in fact instead of shooting hoops he is writing hooks. His father was and still is one of his greatest inspirations in life and was a known midwest street hustler that put his gangsta lifestyle to rest just to focus on his musical talents and gained the respect and interest of the legendary Sun Records out of Memphis, TN which resulted in a contract deal. Influenced by watching his father hustle and grind, Gambino stayed connected to the street and developed a love for rap music and pursued and developed his musical talents. He eventually moved to Jacksonville from the midwest as a teen and hasn't looked back since! In between keeping the faith and chasing his dreams of having a position in the music industry he traveled consistenly hoping to gain some success meeting and greeting people who really can make and break careers, from the likes of Wendy Day, TJ Chapmen, Tony Neal, Mark Tarboy Williams, La Carlton Walls etc. Gambino finally got his break when he got a chance to have a meeting with St. Louis based production company Trackboyz who has broken artists like J-kwon, Ebony Eyez and Nappy Roots. Trackboyz's V.P. and promoter D-Rocc was impressed with his drive and talent and decided to give him a contract deal which consists of the management and development of present and future Gambino Slim projects. They say there are to many artists and not enough stars and time will tell which category this Florida rapper is going to fall in.
