I got my background from Backgrounds Archive! Zoey Jones studied at the renowned Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in London starting as a ballerina, but soon after found a passion in singing. She started her singing career with a five piece vocal band touring all parts of the UK. Supporting acts such as Blue, Sonique and Chesney Hawks. During that Tour, Zoey then became a contestant of the first ever POP IDOL competition (known as Callandria back then) with judges, Pete WATERMAN and Simon COWELL. She was a finalist and appeared on many major UK TV channels and shows. Following this after her success in the show, Zoey found herself with more ambition and determination to start working on music projects. And started working on her writing skills, This resulted in the start to many projetcs and again found herself performing and recording with and for various well known artists such as Victoria Beckham, 45flat (soulshaker) performing around the counrty on a kiss fm tour. Then in 2006 she visited Lisbon and fell in Love with the city. She decided to stay for few months, and new adventures started to come from recording a duet with artist FERNANDO PERIERA, touring countries from Portugal to Canada, Italy and Africa. Together they recorded and performed many TV and live apperearances, a beautiful duet, Nada Mais LATELY. During this time Zoey was also getting asked to perform as a singer at many different corporate and social events, including singing at the CASCAIS MODA. Zoeys voice has also appeared, in many TV commercials for major brands like VW, TMN and Compal. Zoey is now making a name for herself in Portugal and appears performing with her band at venues such as SILK and SPEAKEASY,Casino ESTORIL and LISBOA. Zoey has recently been working with many DJ artists such as MASTIKSOUL, PHIL KAY and JESUS LUZ, where she is being featured on many of there pieces of work. Many other project are on the horizon for Zoey including these next few months to be completing her first album, due for release mid May. She has just been confirmed for, and is extremely delighted from the invitation of performing at this years Lisbon rock festival, ROCK IN RIO. One of the greatest rock, music festivals in the world. She will be performing her music, a fusion of Jazz, pop, and house.
