w.t.l.m was born in gva in 2000, after playing a few shows etc the band recorded there first 13 track demo "i've learned to hate & hate what i've learned" in 2003, then in 2004 & 2005 the band went into the studio (wood studios) in geneva and recorded 19 songs from these songs the best 11 were picked to make up "hard for life,core for style" also thay recorded a track "sell dope to da kids" with the famous dj "motherfucking" raze (murdafunk radioshow) which is on the album also.
REVIEW OF HARD FOR LIFE TAKEN FROM MILD PERIL FANZINE...... i would say this is one of the hardest things i've ever reviewed for mild peril. it is one of the most brilliantly diverse albums i've heard for a long time. switzerlands welcome to the last millenium (or w.t.l.m) seem to be able to mix punk, hardcore, metal, death metal, acoustic and even hip hop(!) almost at ease. hard for life.. starts off with a very laidback, subdued track until i fall then seemingly blasts off into a metal tinged blast of punk, complete with a metallica style triplet headbang riff at the end. from there its like a rollercoaster ride of styles as already mentioned. i guess some of the band influences that i say i can hear within this album would be stuff like... leftover crack,f -minus,napalm death,dog eat dog, transplants. stand out tracks for me were 24h. of pgd,cold black sky, cut the string and allah vs da christ. i did come away from this album feeling a bit confused but i totally loved it! thay have songs up on there myspace i suggest you go listen, and then go buy the album!
