About Me

Hi, I make music in my spare time as Flashflooder. I'm from and currently living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I make music with some instruments and equipment I've accumulated over the years but generally I just like anything that makes sound. I also recorded some albums in my college years with some friends as The Juxtaposed Concept .

I've just finished up a new album called Debris, which is a collection of songs that had been sitting around for a while that I finally put enough work into to call finished. You can download it from the following link:

"Sifting through the overly abundant wasteland of hipster garbage littering the collective conscience these days, it's difficult to find artists of the experimental variety that can plant the effortless in the concrete of thought and have it grow into something beautiful and unique. With Flashflooder's second album, Debris, he achieves just that. In an honest and unpretentious way, the album itself beckons to be read like an open book, and yet, it is written in a language you don't speak. Through abstract channels, however, you 'get it' in an almost preternatural way. Well thought out or not thought out at all, it comes across as a solid body of work, not something that cannot be grasped drifting out in the ether(stop trying, you're so predictable), but more like dark matter. From entrance to exit, Debris, is a journey through the intangible imagery of sound. An onomatopoetic earthquake. One small step for Flashflooder, one large step for his kind." Review of Flashflooder's Debris by James Lanman
I finished an album in late 2007 called Transitions. Some of the songs I've posted above are from this. If you like, you can download it here:
