Strawny, given name is Andre Strachan, was born in Annatto Bay, St. Mary, Jamaica, where he grew up playing soccer for his community, and his grade school which is “Enfield Primary and Junior High”. At grade school, he also discovered that he could ran track very well. Strawny being a very active youngster was the best dancer in his community. Whenever a dancer came to the community showing off, his friends would call him to battle this individual. While taking the dancing to a competitive level, Strawny was also in the school choir. That still was not enough talent for this creative Jamaican, he started to battle everyone who think that they could freestyle or sing other people’s song, but at that time the artist realized another amazing talent, while competing with others he weren’t using other people’s lyrics he was creating his own on the spot. This is why they call him the freestyle god. At 14 years old Strawny moved from St. Mary to Portmore City on a Track/Soccer scholarship. Where he attended Bridgeport High School, which is the factory for crazy talents, but being the person Strawny is he fit right in. Surprisingly, as he started his first week of high school he was battling other artists with the same mad freestyle ability, which was the one thing that let him rise above the rest. In the ninth grade he met Xyclone, S.K, and Persia who also had sick flows. These four young talents decided to form a music group called Wiley/Wiley Entertainment. The group started to grace the stage whenever their school had any kind of entertaining events. There was no stopping from there Xyclone, S.K and Strawny went to the U.S.A. Where Strawny started making mad beats, which was introduce to him by a producer by the name of Red Bull. At this time the young talent began his journey of maximizing his true potential. While attending University on a track scholarship, In St. Louis, Missouri, Strawny became a singer, rapper/D Jay, song writer and producer/ the beat maker. In STL Strawny met DJ Romeo, who was the first to play his songs on the radio with an exclusive interview, with the artist. Be on the lookout for Strawny with his crazy slang saying “Nutton Pretty!!!
