It's the end of the world as we know it (And I feel fine) I like films, watching films, making films, reading scripts to be made into films, discussing films, cursing films, writing about films, learning about films, and teaching about films.I also like candy. During a film and beyond. Oh, and the Beatles and REM and Spielberg. You have to watch this, you just have to!.. width="425" height="350" ..
Well George Bush of course . . .I meant Steven Spielberg . . . They're so alike(I've already met Spielberg anyway) . . .And of course my luva and friend Matthew Broderick and idol Paul McCartney . . .and yes of course the lead singer of the greatest band to ever set foot on the earth (besides John Lennon), Michael Stipe of the famed band, REM. Now let me go into detail - ok, Frances just pulled my arm back. never mind.oh yes, oh yes . . .more.. width="425" height="350" ..http://www.drunkensquirrel.net/foamy/show5/141Are there too many Starbucks?
Um, I like Ashlie Simpson. Her body of work through the early 80's and post in the era of grunge when all you could find was a bad duplicate of Nirvana really pulled me out of myself and then took me back into myself and then pulled me out of myself and then put me back into myself. And then she pulled me over myself and pulled me back under myself. Yeah, she's really cool. And I kinda like REM and the Beatles and Polyphonic Spree and Aretha Franklin. My favorite era is the 60's. I just love any music that is a successful attempt at creating musical art and means something to not only the group but to others and especially to me. That's why I like Ashlie Simpson the most.R.E.M. - Nightswimming

And for all you realists out there, here are my top five.Field of Dreams 12 Angry Men Close Encounters of the Third Kind Shawshank Redemtion(like anybody on this list didn't know that) and I'm back and forth now on the old Psycho and the new Psycho. So difficult. But really, it's hard to choose .. 5. But I do love Nights of Cabiria.
Favorite show of all time - The X-Files. You people just don't know! Lost is absolutely the best show on TV and I'll watch it until I die . . . Right now it's ER, Will and Grace, The Apprentice and the exited Friends. Yes, NBC stays alive because of me. I do watch Joey too and it's getting better every episode, I promise! I also used to love The Cosby Show and Taxi. Yes I'm white. I know this. Now if all of you could just get over it, we could move on.
To Kill A Mockingbird, To Dance With The White Dog, Old Yeller, 1984, Mockingbird, Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, Harry Potter- all of them, Most of Shakespeare, the Odyssey, Tale of Two Cities : I recommend these, I haven't read them; I'm illiterate . . . please look away! The shame of it all!
Well, I have a lot of heroes in my life *single tear - wipes the floor . . Spielberg inspires me to make what I want to make and do it by whatever means I can. He keeps me grounded because although so many films out there get hyped or scorned, he still does what he wants and because he is talented (not because of his name) he still can have quality films and do other things as well. And he ENJOYS doing it . . . My Dad and firefighters too.
