Cloverhead

Cloverhead is a project between Gavin Thomas, Simon Turner and Dan Willett, that took place in the summer months of 2007. It all started when Gav and Si sought out a killer bassist with awesome chops to lay some serious groove down on stuff they had been working on for a while. Dan wa the man. We immediately took up residency in Dan’s studio, with the stipulation that no-one could leave until world domination was secured. Well, thats not strictly true. In fact, mostly it was just 2 or 3 hours jamming a week. Initial progress was slow. Further progress was also slow. Further progress from that point was extremely slow. Eventually, we had a beginning and an end to one song. This was the state of play for many weeks, as we honed the beginning and end to perfection. Suddenly, Uni loomed for Si. After much talking about a fabled middle section, we cobbled it together in one session and recorded it over the course of a couple more sessions. Sadly, Si had to leave before final mix was done, and so the ball passed to Dan, and tales of his Herculean struggles through swathes of metaphorical zombies will be passed down through generations. And so finally, it was finished. The months of mildly intense labour had paid off. We had one song.
