The New Electron Symphony has been offering its unique brand of experimental music since the early 1990’s when analog tape, turntables and shortwave radios were all staples of NES shows and studio recordings were via Tascam four track.
After various live incarnations NES went digital in the late 20th century, and in the early 21st century continues to produce instrumental music that is true to its dub, rock and jazz influenced experimental roots.
By jumping headlong into the digital realm, NES has found fertile ground for new sonic experimentation with pitch shifting and manipulation of digital artifacts and other oddities that are found at the extremes of what the hardware can do.
