I am here for Friends

About Me

Well, my name is Matthew, and in most cases I dont really like being called Matt, but its not a big deal, and I wouldnt ever correct or call anybody on it. I'm currently finishing my associates degree at the local community college, so I can transfer to a four year school. I am in love with my savior Jesus, who without I would be worth absolutely nothing. And still, I can claim no worth, but only a daily struggle to be His hands and feet, and a daily reminder that I am nothing without Him. I'm fairly quiet about what I'm really thinking, and more of an introvert, though over the years I have learned to be more extroverted. I love to play music. I have been playing the guitar for about six years now, and I fool arround with a bass when I get a chance. I can also play a couple tunes on a piano, but I'm by no means a pianist. uh.. I'm a fairly busy guy, you know; whake up, then to school, then to work, then home to sleep...(lather, rinse and repete)...with some homework thrown in the mix, and Church on Sundays and Wednesdays(which are generally the days I dont work.) So I guess that's about it... Anything else you wanna know, askme. :D

My Interests

.. I love music, of all kinds. I live, breath and sleep music, and as Bryan Benner said, "I once tasted it, and it tasted like a blueberry muffin."
"...and he seemed clothed in white, a young lord tall and fair; and he spoke words in the Elvish tongue to one whom Frodo could not see. 'Arwen vanimelda, namarie!' he said, and then drew a breath...
'Here is the heart of Elvendom on earth,' he said, 'and here my heart dwells ever, unless there be a light beyond the dark roads that we still must tread, you and I. come with me!' And taking Frodo's hand in his, he left the hill of Cerin Amroth and came there never again as a living man."

That would be Jason "the man' Todd

Music:

Really anything, keeping it in the general rock genre, I'm not a big Hip Hop fan, though I have been known to chill to some John Reuben, or Toby Mac. Seriously though, Power Metal to Phill Keaggy, John Reuben to Boston or Journey, Bluegrass to that Euro Pop Tecno Trance stuff. It dosn't really matter, 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond, Im there babe. ;)

Movies:

No OrderAugust Rush Braveheart 300 Empire of the Sun Invincible Wild Hogs The Harry Potter flicks Disturbia Office Space Fight Club The Goonies Ferris Bueller's day off Probably...Definitely more, that I cant think of right now

Television:

House Scrubs Psych JourneyMan Smallville Whose Line Survivor Man Man vs Wild Top Chef Everyday Itallian(..Giada..)
...Thats it I think despite this list though, I don't really watch much TV, just when I get a chance, its proabably one of these shows, or whatever is on the Discovery channel.

Books:

Books other than the Bible, I am reading now...

The Lord of the Rings The Barbarian Way, Erwin McManus A Hill on Which to Die, Paul Pressler Knowing God, J.I. Packer Follow Me, John MacArthur Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis. More Than A Carpenter, Josh McDowell
If this list dosent seem to change...ever, it is either due to my level of commitment, or that I am just allways reading that book, even multiple times through.

Heroes:

..Jesus Christ, the origional super hero. Also Bubs, the get anything, concession stand man.
