My name's Freya Thornborrow, I'm 17 years old (08-01-1990) and I have a big passion for music. I have had all my life, especially singing. I started from being a child and always dreamt of having a career in music someday. My family and friends have always supported me in what I do and helped me believe in myself. When I was really small shyness was never a factor, but as I hit my teen years I went through a perios of not being very confident singing in front of others. I've always been taught not to give up, confidence will come with practice and it's true. After performing on open-mic nights and doing the occassional bar gig my confidence grew and I started believeing in myslef more. Now I know this is what i want and I'm not going to give up on it. Some people think one should always carry a back-up plan for if they fail, but I won't give in to failure. I started writing my own lyrics in 2005-2006. I came to an age where lots of feelings were bubbling around; first love, first fall out with a close friend, first rebelious teenage moment, a lot of firsts. These caused me the need to let out frustrations and emotions, I found my way of doing that by writing about them. In the summer of 2006 I decided it was time to pick up a guitar and work on some melodies to fit my lyrics. It came pretty naturally and though guitar isn't my priority I love to play around with it and am very eager to learn moe. I currently have 6 songs I wrote music to, but because my guitar playing is basic I find it hard to be original anymore with new arrangements. There for I feel I need a proper band behind me to get the flow going and to create more music. The willpower and eagerness is here, all I want is to reach to people through my music, and I hope someday I achieve my goals and dreams.
