EL8 is a photographic project created by a group of art and fashion photographers, based on East London’s contemporary fashions. It explores London’s newest fashions on different scenes, from the youth culture of the Y generation, to clubbing nocturnal life of the Shoreditch area.
East London is where actually new cultures and fashions are created. It is from the east that youths and clubbers influence young artists and stylists, whom, in a reverse order will influence the fashion industry and back it to the rest of the population.
EL8 will bring all these fashions together under a widely comprehensive exhibition, showing to the world what it means to live in the East today, and what it is that makes it so magical. It will explore the styles, colours and the attitudes necessary to survive and be part of the scene.
