Hi,My name is Eliot, I live in Atlanta, Georgia. That's all you need to know about me. This page is dedicated to the music of (an Irishman?) called Ben Stack.
I started this page as a tribute to a man who I have had to pleasure to see live, many times, in New York in the late '90 and also in
the beginning of the century (I saw him play in a bar in Brooklyn, NY - he was alone but I couldn't believe that one guy could get so many different sounds from an acoustic guitar). I have never heard anyone play with such force, nor have I ever heard anyone play the way he does. He's a complete original in every sense of the word.
Since the first time I heard him I have been completely awe struck at how a musician and writer of this caliber can be over looked for so long.
Information is difficult to obtain on Mr Stack - but I know he is, and has been associated with some of the biggest names in music, Clapton, Sting, John Martyn (who I never heard of until Ben turned me on to him).
I'm not a musician myself but I am a big music fan. So I decided to my bit to get his name around.
The last I heard he was living in Paris, France but he does tend to move around a lot and apparently always has done.
