The Making of "Verdict" EP:Bloodred Hourglass or formerly, BRHG, is a thrash metal band from Mikkeli, Finland. In the late 2005, Koukonen, Hyvönen, Jähi, Nenonen and Moilanen joined together with a result of Bloodred Hourglass. Only a few months later the very first home made demo “Relevant Annihilation†was recorded, with basically no sense at all what we were doing. The two week long sessions for it were fun as hell though.Next summer we got our first rehearsal space for some training, which is also currently in our use. At this point things started to get a little more serious and everyone really started to put effort on playing, gear, etc. After some training BRHG started to violate as a live act in the summer of 2007. We played few gigs later that year and started to get ready for the upcoming recording sessions of our next release.Spring 2008 also brought some changes in the line-up as we decided to part ways with second guitar player Jähi. At the same time we had started the recording sessions of our first studio EP “Under the Black Flagâ€, which saw the daylight in spring 2008. It was recorded as a four piece act.In autumn 2008 we decided to make Jarkko Tiilikainen (Eturintama) a fulltime member of the band. After playing 10 gigs with us, we decided that our search for the new guitarist was over. Bloodred Hourglass annihilates with pure thrash metal, also combining groove and death metal elements. The journey continues, the next studio session is set to late 2008 when we will record our second 4 song studio EP. Sure as hell, the next aims for us are to find a decent record deal and to get up on stage as often as possible.Stay tuned!
