About Me

Hey there :)
We are a dedicated group of individuals who are trying to establish an Off Leash Dog Park in Enfield, CT. We have received notification that we are officially a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, and are trying to establish the park free of town tax dollars. We will be looking for corporate sponsorships and individual donations.
We hit a small bump in the road with our proposed location on Town Farm Rd. We found out that there are high nitrate levels in the water (the spot was is on an aquifer), and it was recommended that we don't put a dog park there. We went back to the Town and asked them for a new site that is not on an aquifer. We found a possible new location on Hazard Ave., across from Katie Lane. The property is about 500ft from the Somers town line. Things happen for a reason, and the Town Farm Rd. property falling through looks like it will benefit us in the end! The new land is not on an aquifer, is much flatter, and has less to clear out. We have been given consensus by the Town Council to present site plans to Planning & Zoning for the Hazard Ave. location! We are currently seeking an architect/civil engineer who would be willing to donate/discount their services for the A2 survey and site plans. Thanks you for your continued support. We couldn't do it without you!
The December Toy and Blanket drive was a HUGE success. We collected so many items that we were able to donate to the Enfield Animal Shelter, The Connecticut Humane Society and TJ O'Connor shelter. Thanks to everyone who donated! The animals had a better Christmas because of your generosity
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the dog park at our Yappy Hour Winter Dance. Another successful fundraiser with almost $1000 raised! A special thank you to our DJ Carl from Melody Makers who graciously donated his time AND gave us a really cool gift bag filled with goodies to raffle off!
The 2nd Annual Puppy Pride Fun Day was another HUGE success. Demonstrations by the Ct. State Police Trooper Brunolli and his dog Zinger along with Enfield Police Officer Moylan with his dog Niko, made for a fun, exciting, informative demo. The Hartford Obedience Training Club also judged a Best in Show competition with was won by Piper - owned by Kathy Hartmann of the Kado Foundation.
EDPAC wins again! Our float in the Enfield 4th of July parade won Best Float. Many Thanks to Mike Delconte of L&S Builders for helping us build the float and for towing it. This win was for Zoey!
