A native of Oak Cliff – Located in Dallas, TX, J Wallace is one of the hottest unsigned artists of 2009. Born Justin Wallace June 13, 1989, J Wallace was raised in one of the toughest hoods in Dallas, TX (Oak Cliff). His passion for music and entertaining has always ranged from within. As a graduate of Jesuit College Preparatory, J Wallace would write raps as well as freestyles about ex girlfriends and life experiences. “Scooter and I use to freestyle for the fun of it, but it matured and became serious in college.†“The first instance I knew entertainment would be a positive career path for me came as a freshman in college after I got my first feature on Teejay’s mixtape.†“I was honored he asked me to do a track with him because it made me feel as though someone felt I was doing something right music wise.†It only inspired and motivated J Wallace to work harder.
Upon graduating from high school, J Wallace enrolled at Prairie View A&M University where he entered as a biology major fall of 2007. While attending Prairie View, J Wallace continued writing and making music tenaciously. After finishing his first mixtape with Osie and Waco “Can’t Be Touched†during the first semester of his sophomore year, J Wallace was forced to leave school due to financial hardships. “This is what it took for me to wake up and make something happen with the gifts God gave me.â€

At the beginning of 2009 J Wallace released his new hit single “Monroe†off his highly anticipated self titled album “J Wallace†set to release “Fall 2009â€. “I wanted to speak on something that no other artist had rapped about. I noticed that a lot of women around my age group had face piercings on their lips and I wanted to know more about it, so after doing my research I decided to write a song titled “Monroe†as my newest single.â€
J Wallace is the son of “Stanley & Kim Haines†and the older brother to “Sheila and Simone Hainesâ€. “I want to one day be able to pay for my two younger sisters college tuitions. “I want to ensure that they don’t have to experience the same hardships I went through.â€
