I’ve been dancing now almost 15 yrs. And I love it more than when I started. I have had the privilege of studying with some of the best in this art form, and am constantly learning more every day. In addition to being a part of this wonderful group, I am the director of the Desert Orchids of Houston, TX. I also teach private lessons. With both of these teaching opportunities, I create original choreographies for my students that have been very well received.In addition to studying Middle Eastern dance, I study other forms of dance including- Japanese, Bollywood, Bangra and ballet. From this I pull inspiration to create many fusion pieces.I also design and create most of my costumes. I have decided to create a line of costumes called Shimmies N Bon Bon Designs, in order to show case my work. Shimmies N Bon Bons is all about having fun and enjoying the sweet side to life.On a personal note, I am married to the love of my life, with which I help run an annual film festival. Our festival is called Pencilhead’s Dust till Dawn Film fest. I have two dogs, one being a red heeler, and one cat named Carrie Bradshaw.
