I am a Southern girl-born and raised in the South. I've lived most of my life in Alabama.
My family (on my dad's side) originated in Scotland. I have yet to visit the homeland, but hope to do so one day.
I just recently moved from Alabama to Colorado. Such a huge change for me! It's definitely different from the South, but I am adapting. I hope that it becomes home, and that good things come from this move.
I am a nice, kindhearted girl. My name means merry or cheerful. I am not a judgemental person as I have my flaws. I tend to be shy and reserved. I think people interpret my shyness as me being a snob, but I'm so not that. My personality is more on the quiet side than the outgoing. I can be quite funny and crazy around those I know best. I have found the following to be the best way for me to live my life with regard to other people: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Yep, the Golden Rule. I know it's cheesy, but it just works for me. I try to treat everyone with respect and keep an open mind. Hopefully, others will do the same for me.
I love being outdoors whether it's riding horses-my passion for sure, walking my dogs, or going for a run. I like to go out and have fun!! Living in the moment is so important. Do what makes you happy because life is so short and unpredictable! I love to dance and go to concerts. Overall, I just try to enjoy life and have a good time.
My greatest passion: homeless animals. But, really, all animals deserve our love and respect. I truly believe that pet overpopulation is a problem we can fix. I hope one day that animals are no longer euthanized due to lack of homes.
