Music has always been a big part of Pagh's life, and he is self-taught on numerous instruments. Since elementary school he has been seriously into playing music, and as former drummer in Copenhagen based Madison Flynt, who got a record deal in 2005, he is certainly no stranger to the music business.
Pagh's solo career started, when Madison Flynt despite single- and video debut and a Malaysia Tour, dissolved, thus never releasing an album. From his home studio, Pagh began writing songs and music. Initially thinking the tunes should be for another artist, he ended up doing the vocals himself. Pagh played the track 'Living The Dream' for two partners in the record company NEG Records, and they liked the song so much that they consulted the Danish top producer Chief One to get his opinion. The result is 'Ego', Pagh's debut album. All lyrics and music on the record is written by Pagh. He is signed to NEG Records.
Pagh is inspired by artist so different as Tori Amos, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Depeche Mode, Jeff Buckley and Muse. His music is versatile in both style and themes.
About 'Ego' Pagh says:”The album is very experimenting and not restrained by genres. The tracks are a mix of pop, rock and hip hop, and I think, the producer and I have managed to create a unique style. To me, the content and the lyrics have been very important. Every song has a theme that I have given a lot of thought, and some of the lyrics have been very time consuming. I want to make statements with my music”.
Brian 'Big Bass' Garner who has worked with artists such as Madonna. Eminem and Foo Fighters, has done the mastering of 'Ego'. From the start, he was impressed by Pagh's talent and so was Chief One, who became the producer of 'Ego'. ”When I heard 'Living The Dream', I just knew, I had to get my hands on the track. I was convinced that Pagh and I could create something new and different together”, the producer recollects”. In one year the 10 tracks on 'Ego' became reality. Chief One adds:” It has been fantastic to be part of a project with no limits, and where we were given free rein to do as we liked. Many different inspirations and elements interact on the tracks, and both my hip hop background and Pagh's rock background have influenced the final result. Pagh is very open to trying new things and that is an advantage for me as a producer”.
