Who We Are:
Hawkins Productions is an innovative production company located in Fresno, CA which seeks to forge new standards in the film market by uniting creative filmmakers with investors seeking high returns. We at Hawkins Productions wish to offer highly favorable opportunities for investment in top quality filmed entertainment. We believe that return for our investors is of the highest priority and as such will go to production and market with the ideal that "low budget doesn’t have to mean low quality or poor returns".
Our Mission:
We seek to produce marketable films direct to DVD/Cable "In House" with the writer(s), director, etc all working from the same pool and using local locations to keep the costs to a minimum and allowing for the highest investor return possible. All shoots (location, props, etc) will be planned well in advance (as well as alternative locations) to keep the shooting schedule as short as possible. All shoots will be entirely storyboarded and planned before our feet hit the ground on location to avoid re-shoots and keep all projects on or under budget. Both Fresno City Collage and Fresno State University have Drama/Acting Departments. Actors will be gleaned from these local locations in order to obtain trained, talented actors who would be willing to work with lower budgets in order to obtain exposure. All of this will save investor money and allow for even higher returns in the shortest amount of time possible.
Films will be distributed through DVD sales and sale of On-Demand/Downloadable format through the Hawkins Production Web Site (www.hawkprod.com). DVD’s will be distributed on an "as ordered" basis to avoid the unnecessary cost of storing DVD’s before sale. Rental copies will also be made available and marketed to companies such as Blockbuster, etc. Additional sales/marketing will be conducted through sites such as amazon.com.
Further there will be no "back end" (i.e. profit sharing) between Hawkins Productions and investors prior to investors receiving a return of their full investment amount. We believe that our investors come first and should receive the largest and quickest return on their investment possible.
