About Me
I was born in São Paulo, my much loved Sampa, in the early 80's. 18 years later I started a 4 year BA in Film Directing at Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), where I directed my first short-film, ''Starawberry'', which I'm proud to say won several awards in Latin America. After graduating in 2004, I moved to Rio de Janeiro, where I lived for 2 and a half years, working mainly as an editor, but also as an acting coach, producer and production designer, apart from directing here and there. As an editor I worked mainly with music content, such as Music Videos, Live Music DVDs, EPKs and Promos, mainly for major Brazilian musicians part of Warner Music catalogue, such as Maria Rita and Arlindo Cruz. I have also edited film trailers for TV, corporate videos, TV commercials, documentaries, etc etc.I currently live in London, where I attend an MA in Screen Directing at Central Saint Martins, which is focused on the cooperative work between directors, writers and actors, with a great emphasis on acting coach. I'm particularly interested on how to combine processes of devising and improvisation with my very visual approach to directing, and I'm looking for partnerships to produce my first feature-lengh film, to be shot in Rio de Janeiro in 2010..
