The Uncle Brothers Children's/Family Music

Danny began performing children's music when his daughters were young and released two CDs, "The Music Bus" (for young children) and "Don't Miss The Boat", which he co-wrote four tracks with Tom Gardner. Those songs we so successful with the audiences that they decided to develop a new duo for families and children and The Uncle Brothers were born.
Danny Quinn has toured with Irish legend Tommy Makem (The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem) and has shared the stage with other renowned artists such as , John Prine, The Wolftones, The Clancy Brothers, Tom Chapin, David Bromberg, Peter Yarrow, Cherish The Ladies, David Mallet, and many others and has been featured on "CBS The Morning Show" and "The Joe Franklin Show" as well as dozens of radio programs.

Tom Gardner joined Danny Quinn to form The Uncle Brothers in 1998 after co-writing several tracks on Danny's "Don't Miss The Boat" CD for children. He has been a singer-song writer for many years but really found his niche after The Uncle Brothers were born, writing dozens of songs both with Danny and solo.
Tom began singing and writing children's music when his own kids (he has three) were in elementary school. This led to many great song ideas and to the beginning of his classroom workshops for creative song and lyric writing.
His song, "Rainbow" (Two Big Kids) won the KidSing 2001 songwriting contest (grand prize) and his other songs ("I Can", "When We're Happy We Laugh") won honorable mention in the 2002 John Lennon Songwriting contest.
Aside from performing solo family shows (when Danny's on the road with his Irish music), Tom also performs for younger children (preschool to about 7 years old) solo and is known as 'TOMMY'. His solo CD "My Candy Tree" was released on Blackwater Records in 2003 and won the 2004 Parents Choice Award, Recommended. This holds a special place in his heart because Tom wrote the title track with his son, Jesse (7 at the time), and the majority of the ideas in the song were his son's. Congratulations Jesse!
Tommy's new CD, "Kangaroo Waffles & Other Treasure" is due out the summer of 2006 and includes, "Bully Bubba", a new version of "Halloween Parade", and "The Monster", a song co-written by his friend Laura Hudson. This song is important because it was written for Laura's grief counciling center for children, Hearts and Crafts, in Ramsey, NJ. The "Monster' in the song is a metaphor for grief and was written to help children deal with loss.
