Fast emerging onto the world stage Neil Symmonds aka Genus is already catching the attention of the Trance world. His infectious debut single ‘Narcomine’ penned at the studios of trance superstar Andy Perring (Pulser/Insigma/Olmec Heads) is clocking up plays from the absolute biggest DJ’s on the scene and has just been given the thumbs up from DJ magazine who gave Narcomine an impressive 4/5 in their review.
Neil is an old skool dj with the skills to match. His effortless floorcrafted DJ sets envelop clubbers in a sea of hardbeats and uplifting energy that take trance in a truly unique new direction. At a recent gig trance producer Pulser was so impressed he invited Neil into the studio to discover what drives his awesome DJ talent and to give Neil the opportunity to show his musical side.
Neil is an accomplished piano & Viola player with skills that came into play right from day one in the studio. Several productions emerged from the sessions with ‘Narcomine’ being chosen as the first to release. The truly beautifull ‘Midnight Express’ currently being mixed down expands on the hard impacting debut with a more melodic feel but ultimately drives harder than track 1. Other tracks are in progress with a definitive and original style now taking shape that will ultimately catapult this new artist into the global spotlight.
2006 will see Neil embark on his first major dates in the UK and Europe bringing his highly original sound to the greater world. Expect to hear some exclusive recordings of Genus DJ sets during the coming months and remember where you heard the name first.
