There will be Music, Videos and so much more on here very soonI write of the tragic passing of a great friend, father, and frontman.
Kent was one of my closer friends in the local music scene. I had always been a fan of his music/writing, but over the past year or so we got to be pretty close. Kent starting working shows at Alrosa with Nasty and we just hit it off. We had very similar taste in music, and a passion for it as well.
Kent was also a fan of my photography; he hired me to shoot several BBA/Years of Fire promos and live shows. The "My Mouth Is A Smoking Gun" memorial being passed around was taken by me at a BBA shoot probably a year and a half ago.
Kent was one of the most talented and charismatic frontmen ever to grace the stage hailing from Columbus. I enjoy doing vocals in a similar style to his, and he offered a lot of tips when I was first getting started. I remember one time he told me "When you’re a frontman, you don’t just own the stage. You own the stage and the building it was built in."
Kent respected my opinion and I respected his. We are both the type that didn’t bullshit. He’d come to me with his new music and ask me to critique it for him, which I gladly did.
I had just talked to Kent maybe a week ago, online. I still can’t believe he’s gone. It just blows my mind. See you on the other side, my friend. You will be loved and missed by many, but will always live on through your music.

I have known Kent for about 7 years now, We had mutual friends that always hangout together plus I have worked on allot of his graphics such as the Capital Tragedy cd, The Buried by Angels myspace and much more. The last time I seen Kent I was so proud of him he was telling me about his band Years of Fire, he was so excited. I was so happy that he was going somewhere with his music, I always told him he had a scream that would peel the walls and he needed to get out of Columbus and do something with it.
When Martha called me on Thursday and told me that he had passed I was shocked I really did not know what to say, Other then is his girl friend and his son OK I was worried how they where taking it.
When Tom and Kent’s brother Kevin called me and asked me if I would do this site and pretty much all the graphics I was so honored actually I think I said hell yes before he got all the words out. He is a great man, great father, great musician and a great friend. I am proud to have known him and worked with him , Much Love Brotha and I will see you on the other side.
