3PM is an underground, conscious rap and hip-hop group that resurrected from the barren wastelands of Phoenix, Arizona. This multi-cultural trio established themselves in the summer of 2008 with its members CONstant, ViCE VERSA, and PAce. However, they are not rappers. They are solely lyricists, poets, and above all... artists. They paint pictures that even Picasso would have been proud of; tackling an array of topics from politics, love, drugs, violence, semi-fictional tales of a character named Jimmy, as well as their dream of a world peace; each of these being inspired by personal life experiences. Lyrics are all written and composed from the artists themselves and their beats consist of samplings from famous artists such as Kanye West, Non Phixion, Atmosphere, etc. as well as originals from their part time beat makers/producers David Glazier and Nick D. They utilize everything around them and insert it into their music to create a much greater purpose and meaning. "Society has brainwashed us to believe in certain semantics. We've been taught that violence is cool, hatred is normal, and that if you have the time to go out of your way and help a fellow stranger, then you must be either the exception or a person who has no social life" said by a fellow member of the group. "We take everything that's corrupt and use it to our own advantage for change." Musical influences being Atmosphere, Big L, Eminem, Canibus, Brother Ali, Move.meant, Immortal Technique, 2pac, Dr. Dre, along with the entire underground. 3PM is currently putting together their first demo/mixtape titled "Bringin' It Back" as a statement and wake up call to the rap game for the lack of raw, real, and true emotion that the world of Hip-Hop has forgotten. Their demo title also refers to the act of revivifying the world back to its harmonious and equable roots. This group of childhood friends constantly strive to be symbols of hope for every single person who is struggling and losing their faith of a better world and circumstance. They represent peace, stability, love, friendship, happiness, strength and above all, the confidence to ALWAYS SPEAK YOUR MIND. "After all of our efforts, when it's all rapped and done, even if only ONE mind was affected positively and influenced to support change throughout the world, we will know our jobs as writers had purpose, significance, and most of all... truth; our jobs as human beings for that matter.
